The
Law concerning
Sabbatical
and Jubilee Years
203.
To let the land lie fallow in the Sabbatical year (Ex. 23: 11 and in the seventh, you
shall leave it untended and unharvested, and the destitute of your people shall
eat, and the wildlife of the field shall eat what is left of them; so shall you
do to your vineyard and your olive grove; Lev. 25: 2 for six year you may sow your field and for six
year you may prone your vineyard; and you may gather in its crop, But on the
seventh year shall be a complete rest for the
land, a Sabbath for YAHWEH; your
field you shall not sow and your vineyard you shall not prune.) (This command
teaches us that if the
redeemed people is required to work hard to bring the physical and the
spiritual crop to maturity in Six year or six cycle. If the children of Yisrael
did not observe this commandment, there would be a penalty. In today’s redeemed
community this seven year cycle is totally forgotten. They are people in the
church for over 30 years and have never come into their shemittah year, their
year of rest, full maturity.)
210.
To cease from tilling the land in the Sabbatical year (Ex. 23: 11 and in the seventh, you
shall leave it untended and unharvested, and the destitute of your people shall
eat, and the wildlife of the field shall eat what is left of them; so shall you
do to your vineyard and your olive grove) (Lev. 25: 2). (This command teaches us that as we see in Genesis 2:15 YAHWEH told Adam to
work the land, this word in the Hebrew also mean to minister. In the redeemed
community for six year the soil around the plant must be cultivated, and the
plant prune so it can produce good fruit. On the seventh year all ministry to
that plant must should cease. That it may be food for the spiritual destitute
and spiritual poor. )
211.
Not to till the ground in the Sabbatical year (Lev. 25: 4
But the
seventh year shall be a complete rest for the land, a Sabbath for YAHWEH; your
field you shall not sow and your vineyard you shall not prune. (This command
teaches us that in the
redeemed community after six year of teaching a person Torah and helping them to
build their Menorah, that person should come into their spiritual rest, which
is full maturity).
212.
Not to do any work on the trees in the Sabbatical year (Lev. 25: 4
But the
seventh year shall be a complete rest for the land, a Sabbath for YAHWEH; your
field you shall not sow and your vineyard you shall not prune. (This command
teaches u This command teaches s that it we must take a careful look at the Menorah why it
has seven branches, which represent the seven Spirit of Isaiah 11;2 and Rev
5:6. In the redeemed community these seven Branches produce the fruit of the Spirit found in
Galatians 5:21. These fruit of the spirit should be available for the spiritual
destitute free of cost. That why we are told that the fruit on the seventy year
of for the poor.)
213.
Not to reap the aftermath that grows in the Sabbatical year, in the
same way as it is reaped in other years (Lev. 25:5 The aftergrowth of your
harvest you shall not reap and the grapes you had set aside for yourself you
shall not pick; it shall be a year of rest for the land.) (This command
teaches us that in the
redeemed community the produce of seeds that were not planted intentionally, but
that fell onto the soil during the harvest of the sixth year’s crop shall not
be harvest. It is forbidden for people to treat their field or ministry as their own and prevent
others from enjoying the harvest. Those
who have come to maturity must now be food for the gentile, the wild animals
must have access to there fruit. It is time for them to rejoice on this year
for they have fulfill YAHWEH Commandments).
214.
Not to gather the fruit of the tree in the Sabbatical year in the same
way as it is gathered in other years (Lev. 25: 5 you shall not reap and
the grapes you had set aside for yourself you shall not pick; it shall be a
year of rest for the land.) (This command teaches us that in the redeemed community it is always the responsibility of the Minister to make sure
the trees bring forth fruit. He would prune it, plow it, and water it; much the
same way to tend to those under our care in ministry. We must look for the
fruit of the Spirit as an indicator of their spiritual development. But after
sixth year on the seventh the Minister should let them go free that they can be
food or a pot of manna to those who are not saved).
215.
To sound the Ram's horn in the Sabbatical year (Lev. 25: 9 You shall sound a broken blast on the Shofar, in the seventh
month, on the tenth day of that month; on the day of Atonement you shall sound
the Shofar throughout your land.) (This command teaches us that in the redeemed community
the broken blast must be preceded and follow by a
long, clear Shofar blast (tekiah), so that the Shofar ceremony of the jubilee
is identical to that of Rosh Hashanah. Moreover, these blasts were accompanied
by virtually the same Mussaf Shemoneh Esrei as that of Rosh Hashanah.
216.
To release debts in the seventh year (Deut. 15:2 This is the matter of
the remission: every creditor shall remit his authority over what he has lent
his fellow; he shall not press his fellow or his brother, for He has proclaimed
a remission for YAHWEH). (This command teaches us t This command teaches hat in the redeemed community only personal loan that are
with your brother are canceled, but if a loans is secure by collateral it is
not subject to Shemittah.)
217.
Not to demand return of a loan after the Sabbatical year has passed
(Deut. 15:
2 This is the matter of
the remission: every creditor shall remit his authority over what he has lent
his fellow; he shall not press his fellow or his brother, for He has proclaimed
a remission for YAHWEH). (This command teaches us that in the redeemed community just as the Torah ordains that the seventh-year crops of a
field and orchard are free for the taking by anyone, so does loans are
cancelled at the end of seven years.)
218.
Not to refrain from making a loan to a poor man, because of the release
of loans in the Sabbatical year (Deut. 15: 9 Beware less there be a lawless thought in your
heart, saying, the seventh year approaches, the remission year and you will
look malevolently upon your destitute brother and refuse to give him, then he
may appeal against you to YAHWEH, and it will be a sin upon you). (The impending seventh year can be a
frightening to many lenders, for if his borrower cannot pay in time, the loan
will be canceled. The Torah warns that such fears are sinful and betray a lack
of faith in YAHWEH. Even if the loan becomes a total lost YAHWEH guarantees His
blessing).
219.
To assemble the people to hear the Torah at the close of the seventh
year (Deut. 31:
12 Gather together the
people, the men, the women, and the young children, and your stranger who is in
your cities, so that they will hear and so they will learn, and they shall fear
YAHWEH your El, and be careful to perform all the words of Torah.) (This command
teaches us that after the
seventh year is over, a new sixth year starts. A new circle to perfection
begins, this is like a new day of creation. The Torah is a book of cycle: the
daily cycle help the weekly cycle, which help the monthly cycle which help the
yearly cycle which help the seven year cycle. Some of us might be in the first
year cycle while another is in their fifth year, what ever year we are in our
minister or shepherd should know where we are spiritually.)
220.
To count the years of the Jubilee by years and by cycles of seven years
(Lev. 25:
8 You shall count for
yourself seven cycle of sabbatical years, seven years seven time; the years of
the seven cycle of sabbatical years shall be for you forth nine years.) (We are instructed to count for our selves
as we count the Omer between Passover and Pentecost to help us cleans ourselves
from all unrighteousness the counting of the seven, seven years cycle fulfilled
the same principle. The number seven
represent the cycle of completion of creation; therefore the Sabbath day and
the Shemittah year symbolize the cycle that fulfilled YAHWEH salvation plan.
The seven cycle leading up to the year of jubilee reinforce this concept. When
anyone comes to maturity is indeed a time of Jubilee.).
221.
To keep the Jubilee year holy by resting and letting the land lie
fallow (Lev. 25:
10 You shall sanctify the fiftieth year and proclaim freedom
throughout the land for all its inhabitants; it shall be the jubilee year for
you, you shall return each man to his ancestral heritage and you shall return
each man to his family.) (This command teaches us that the whole purpose of salvation is to bring humanity to their year of
jubilee, the year they overcome the flesh. If the nation of Yisrael would
practice this concept, the purpose of salvation would be always before our
face. If every one would keep in mind on focus solely on enjoying their jubilee
year, coming to maturity, them the Nation of Yisrael would always fulfilled YAHWEH
Sovereign Will. The term every man shall return to his ancestral heritage, in
the spirit it is what we were created for, we are gods who are having a human
experience, to learn obedience through the things we suffer. Every human has a
family in heaven, coming to earth is like going away to boarding school, the
jubilee year is when we have finish our training and we are returning to our
family to assume our rightful place within our Heavenly family, read Rev 3:21).
222.
Not to cultivate the soil nor do any work on the trees, in the Jubilee
Year (Lev. 25:
11 It shall be a Jubilee
year for you, this fiftieth year, you shall not sow, you shall not
harvest its aftergrowth and you shall not pick what was set aside of it for yourself. ) (This command teaches us that in a study of the construction of the Menorah, and count the
Almond fruit from the base to the tip of the last two branch you will discover
that there are 6 Almond fruit, we also know that a Almond tree bear fruit once
a year, meaning it takes 6 year to completely build one’s Menorah. However
after six year on the seventh year we do not need to be pruning the tree
anymore, for we are in our jubilee year, full maturity. At this point we would
have fulfilled Jeremiah 31:33 and Hebrew 8:10 and write the Word on our heart).
223.
Not to reap the aftermath of the field that grew of itself in the
Jubilee Year, in the same way as in other years (Lev. 25: 11 It shall be a Jubilee
year for you, this fiftieth year, you shall not sow, you shall not harvest
its aftergrowth and you shall not pick what was set aside of it for yourself ) (223, 224, and 225 are one of the same).
224.
Not to gather the fruit of the tree in the Jubilee Year, in the same
way as in other years (Lev. 25: 11 It shall be a Jubilee year for you, this fiftieth year, you
shall not sow, you shall not harvest its after growth and you shall not pick
what was set aside of it for
yourself ) (223, 224, and 225 are one of the same).
225.
To grant redemption to the land in the Jubilee year (Lev. 25: 24 In the
entire land of your ancestral heritage you shall provide redemption for the
land). (This command
teaches us that those of us who is enjoying our graduation in the spiritual
realm, must now offer themselves to lead people to where we have just achieve.
Moses to the people to Mount Sinai after he
had seen YAHWEH on that same mountain.)
