Mitzvah or Mitzvot, plural is the Hebrew for “Divine
Precept” or “Commandment.” The Torah contains 365 prohibitive Commandment, or
forbidden desires, the things or action we must refrained from doing, and 248
positive Commandments, the positive desires we should all desire, the Words and
actions ABBA YAHWEH prescribe for our daily lives.
The fact that Adam and Eve eat from
the Tree of the Knowledge of good and evil, everyman needed to be
educated on what is right and what is wrong. Both set of commandments provides
the CREATORS guidance in what desires is Holy and what is not Holy, in though,
word and deeds.
The only way to attain Holiness “closeness to
ABBA YAHWEH” is through obedience to the Commandments “Mitzvot.” The Torah were
given to us not for the sake of imposing rules and restrictions on humanity,
but it is a Divine Communication that can be seen as generous, teaching
humanity how life works and what to do and what not do to.
Within the Commandments are all the instructions
necessary for human conduct, in order to help people, believers should avoids negative
consequence and repercussions, so that we can reap the greatest
benefit from living in accordance with the laws of the CREATOR of the Universe.
The Mitzvot or commandments
are not just restrictive or punitive actions; they are methodical explanation
of the laws of the Kingdom
of Shamayim , the heavens.
Torah is not just a book design to control human beings as much as it is the
constitution of the Kingdom. It is a set of rules of the game, informing us
that if a certain action is taken, there is a specific consequence that will
occur at some points in time.
The Mitzvot also informs us of the things we can do to maximize the benefits and goodness of life. This is what Kabbalah teaches that every single thought, word, and deed we indulge in, has repercussions throughout the entire universe. The prohibitive commandments can be viewed as essentially a list of parasitic way in which the evil-one feeds off the vitality of the human being, by diverting precious life energy to the flesh. It is in this sense that the prohibitive Commandments can be seen as a gift of insight about those things that humanity should avoid in order to be a vessel for light.
In Messiyanic Judaism, keeping the Commandment is an action in Love for our Messiyah, the One who went to the Cross, bearing the curse of our sins. The practice of Messiyanic Judaism involves adherence to the Renewed Covenant negotiated my Yahushua, for us on a daily basic. The level or degree of observance of the Commandments “Mitzvot” varies according to an individual’s day of Creation.
Within Messiyanic Judaism, the commandments apply universally, except for the sacrificing of animals, for Messiyah Yahushua is our Lamb slaying from the foundation of the world. We do not kill a lamb anymore, for our sins, but we bring the cost of the sacrifice.
The Practice of Messiyanic Judaism is always evolving, no matter what, it is a living faith. Today, within Messiyanic Judaism, there is a distinct trend towards a restoration of all things which will restore a deeper level of spiritually, which naturally involves a constant obedience to the Commandments. This is the Spirit of Elijah.
When the Written Torah was given, an Oral Torah was also given; which expand and explain the written Torah? Kabbalah teaches that the 10 Commandments derive from the 613 specific commandments. The Written Torah is the 613 and the 10 is the summary off the 613 commandments. While the “Mishnah” the Oral Torah is derive from the Sephirah Keter, which is the Metaphysical origin of the Commandments.

Kabbalah teaches that the
Commandments “mitzvot” have both personal and celestial impact, because every
word we utter our voice reverberates throughout all of the Olamot “World,”
either promoting or hindering the dynamic spiritual balance of the universe.
It is our own words and
actions that make possible the actualization of the Divine Will of this world.
It is this astonishing fact of life that reveals the ultimate purpose of each
Commandment we perform out of love for Messiyah. Each Command activates and
connects us with ABBA YAHWEH, by raising our level of righteousness in this
physical world. There is a physiological counterpart in the physical body; the
performance of the Commandments “Mitzvot” produces spiritual nourishment into
every part of our body, soul and spirit.
There are three type of action the human Ego can engage
in. In the Hebrew language they are:
1. Assur – means “prohibited” or
“forbidden, or sin,” the negative commandment or desires, when this is done it makes the
soul unavailable for spiritual elevation.
2. Mitzvah – means “Divine Precept” or “positive
Commandments” or desires, the actions that will cause the soul to be elevated.
3. Mutar – means “permitted” example
generosity, when this is performed with the correct intention, it permits the
soul to be elevated.
Every
Kingdom is establishes and govern by a set of laws, rules, regulations and
Statues. The Kingdom of the Heavens is the epitome of a King whose laws,
precepts, statues, judgments and command are laid out in a document written on two stone tablets called the Ten Commands which is a summery of the Torah, the first five
books of the Scripture.
These
regulations are divided in two sections: The Love for the King of that Kingdom,
and the Love for its citizens. These two categories can be further broken down
into ten categories, know as the Ten Commandments. These Ten Commandments are
further broken down in 612 specific principles, covering every avenue of life
between man and his Creator and man and man.
When
Yahushua came to Earth, He clarified that the Commandments was in two sections:
The love for our Creator and the love for our fellow man. At one point in our
history the Commandments was based on obedience; to a point this is still true,
for we are still required to keep the Commandments. Today however, we are
required to keep the Commandments base on the Love for our Messiyah Yahushua.
If you Love Me keep my Commandments. John 14:15
“If you love Me, keep My commandments”.
Rabbinic Judaism keep the commandment out of obedience to the Laws,
Scriptural Judaism “Messianic Judaism” keep the Commandment out of a love for
our Messiyah, who died for us at
Rabbinic Judaism keep the commandment out of obedience to the Laws,
Scriptural Judaism “Messianic Judaism” keep the Commandment out of a love for
our Messiyah, who died for us at Calvary . It
is imperative for everyone to understand that these commandments outline in
this paper, forms the constitution of the Heavenly Kingdom .
As a potential good citizen of that Kingdom, we must learn them by writing them
on our hearts as Jeremiah 31:33 and Hebrew 8:10 admonish us to do. For this is
the covenant that I will make with the house of Yisrael after those days, saith
YAHWEH; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and
I will be to them a EL, and they shall be to me a people:
The
purpose of this paper is to look in details on every positive and negative
command, the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, listed in Torah. What we
as citizen of that kingdom, are required to do and not to do, when to do them
and when not to do them, how to do them and how not to do them. The time when
we are to do them, and when we are not to do them. This is called our desires.
The
good citizens of every kingdom are classified by there ability to be obedient
to its laws. By disobeying the laws in love for the King, we show contempt for the laws and it’s
King. The Sons of the King are usually the one’s who help to formulate and
uphold the Laws of their father’s Kingdom. El Yahushua (Jesus Christ) was a son
who upholds His Father Desires absolutely perfect. He said that His Will
was to do His Father’s wishes, which is to keep Torah.
When
the Children of Yisrael said "na'aseh v'nishma” – we will do and we will
listen", they were accepting the marriage contract, the Ketubah, or the
Torah with its 613 Mitzvos (commandments). The mitzvos that we are given are
the constitution of the Heavenly
Kingdom . Those of us who
wishes to operate in our full potential in that Kingdom, should pay close
attention and learn them. The whole premise of mankind is to learn these
commandments or in short, the Constitution of the heavenly Kingdom, this is the
Will of El YAHWEH for all of His children. The evil-ones job is to prevent or
stop us from learning or obeying these rules and regulations.
As
citizen of the Heavenly Kingdom , we are precious gifts through which we can
manifest the glory of the Kingdom
of Heavens here on earth.
The Torah contains all the information’s for us to grow and blossom, and
through which our relationships between a set Apart Elohim and His subject, a
person and another person, or a person and him/herself can flourish. From a
broader perspective, these laws form the Constitution of the Heavenly Kingdom .
In every kingdom, good citizen, are define by their obedience to the laws, they
cannot know the constitution and follows its laws, precepts, statues, and
judgments, unless they study the document.
Of
the 612 Mitzvos “commandments”, there are 247 positive desires, commandments, meaning,
the actions "we shall do", the good
side of the Tree of Knowledge and 365 negative desires, commandments, meaning, the
actions "we shall not do" the evil
side of the tree of Knowledge. The children of light routinely manifest the good
side of the Tree of Knowledge on a daily bases, while the children of darkness desires is for the negative commandments, the evil side of the tree of
Knowledge.
These
612 commandments is what I called, the required curriculum need to be accomplish,
by anyone who wishes to graduate with a degree in full son-ship in the Kingdom
of Heaven. Planet Earth is nothing more than a gigantic universal university, where El YAHWEH
trains His children to be developed perfect desires. The establishing of these desires or compliance to His commandments,
Law, statues, precepts, judgments, and right rulings will determine what reward
we will receive in the world to come.
The
247 positive commandments are the requirement
required by a Set Apart Elohim for His subjects. These are what is required
for us to maintain ones status as a good or holy subject. Perfection is
determined by the amount of these positive desires one faithfully keep.
While the practicing of anyone of the 365 negative desires, commandment, create a void between The Sovereign Master of the Kingdom of Heavens and His created subjects.
The words: obey, obedience, blameless are found in the
scripture 14, 504, and 47 respectively. Exodus 19:5 ‘Now
therefore, if you will indeed obey My Voice and keep My covenant, then
you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine.
Romans 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants
to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of
obedience unto righteousness?
Genesis 17:1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, El YAHWEH appeared to Abram and said to
him, “I am Almighty Elohim; walk before Me and be blameless. 2“And
I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.
The
word disobedience on the other hand, are shown in Ezekiel 5:7 Therefore
thus says EL YAHWEH ‘Because you have
multiplied disobedience more than the nations that are all around you,
and have not walked in My statutes nor kept My judgments, nor even done
according to the judgments of the nations that are all around you’ 8“therefore
thus says the Elohim YAHWEH:
‘Indeed I, even I, am against you and will execute judgments in your midst in
the sight of the nations.
